J. Edjan Custom Guitars

I consider myself more of a tinkerer or a hobbyist guitar builder and technician, rather than a full luthier.  I explore guitar builds and architectures that pique my interesting, trying my hand at the more intriguing designs (such as Pre-War-era Martin acoustic, or 1960s-style Fender Stratocasters).

My builds are completely one-off, designed with heavy collaboration and input by the client to produce something that is ergonomically, musically, and aesthetically tailored to their needs and wants.  The results are workhorse instruments that the clients bond with, and hopefully serve to inspire more music creation.

I do not often take up new builds, as my primary focus is still multimedia full-scale projects, though unique design concepts often serve well as a basis for a potential project.

Among my most recent clients include Blue Morris, a local musician here in Vancouver, Canada.  You can find him here and catch him in shows around the city, with a 1964-inspired J. Edjan Stratocaster in tow.
